Miles Through Time Automotive Museum Moves To Clarkesville, Georgia

Co-op Style Automotive Museum

The Miles Through Time Automotive Museum originally opened in Toccoa, Georgia in 2017. The museum started with only one car, Sean’s Pop’s 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. The idea was to be able to display the Caddy so people could see it in a climate-controlled environment, and when he wanted to drive the car he’d still be able to and provide this service to others.

The museum turned out to be a success in Toccoa, quickly peaking at upwards of 40 full-size vehicles on display before completely running out of space. Sean made the decision to relocate MTT to a larger building to give the museum the opportunity it needed to really be a successful destination that people would want to visit.

Sean had no idea where the museum’s new location was going to be, but when the opportunity arose to move MTT to Clarkesville inside of the Old Clarkesville Mill it was like it was meant to be.

The Old Clarkesville Mill is already home to the Antique Mall, and Clarkesville Lanes which also has a full restaurant.  The Miles Through Time Automotive Museum will be located inside of the rear entrance of the antique mall. Admission to the museum will be available from the cashier in the antique mall.

Once you’ve paid for admission you will be able to enter the 10,000 square foot museum where you will see over 100 years of automotive history on display as well as historical artifacts.  There will be multiple displays that include a replica service center, blacksmith shop, diner and more all created to educate the visitor.

All of the displays are made possible from people in the community either donating, storing or loaning the items for display.

The museum is scheduled to open by April 2020 and once open will be open all year long, 7 days a week from 11 to 6 pm.

The Miles Through Time Automotive Museum is located at the Old Clarkesville Mill in Clarkesville, GA.
