About the 1956 Lincoln Premiere
The 1956 Lincoln Premiere and its lower trim level, the Capri are based on the concept car the Lincoln Futura built-in 1955 (later used by George Barris to create the original Batmobile). It is often misidentified as the Continental Mark II, also produced at the same time as the Lincoln Premiere and Capri. The Premiere was the top-end Lincoln at the time.
This 1956 Lincoln Premiere has been owned by the current owners since 2000. The owner’s father grew up in a very similar 1956 Lincoln Capri. Prior to their ownership it was owned by a doctor who ordered it in the color scheme you see now: centurion gray exterior 1956 Lincoln Premiere with huntsman red and presidential black interior. The leather interior is in original condition, and the exterior has seen one repaint likely done in the 1980s. It is powered by Lincoln’s 368 cubic inch (6.0 L) Y-Block V8 and a 3-speed Turbo-Drive automatic transmission.
Fun fact: In the past 23 years the car has been driven about 4,000 miles and had 12 oil changes.
